## 2026-10-23 — Steps, reports and links read as they should `api 2.1.3` `web 2.1.8`
**A command waiting for your approval fits on screen again.** In a conversation, the command of a
step that waits for approval, and the arguments of an expanded step, had lost their maximum height,
their border and their colour: a long script pushed Approve and Reject far down the page. They are
capped again and scroll inside.
**Reports and answers stay readable when the browser could not load the Markdown reader.** If that
download failed — a network glitch, or a tab left open across an update — every report and answer
showed its raw Markdown on one run-on line until the tab was reloaded. The text now keeps its line
breaks, and formats itself as soon as the reader loads.
**Bare web addresses are linked as they are on GitHub.** An address followed by a semicolon, a

table cell or a list item, was not a link at all.
**An answer no longer fails on a character split in two by the model provider.** A provider that
sends the two halves of an emoji in two pieces made the whole answer fail; the halves are now joined.
**Emoji in a step's arguments show as emoji**, no longer as escape codes.
**The conversation header no longer lists every machine in scope.** It shows how many, and opens the
Scope panel, whose list of machines now uses the panel's whole height.
Update the api and web images. No agent update is required.
## 2026-10-22 — Short tooltips no longer slide in `web 2.1.7`
**Short tooltips now appear in place, like long ones.** A tooltip shorter than its maximum width,
